Samantha Sharkus is my beautiful, kind & intelligent daughter. She was violently strangled to death by her father, Jon Bruno Sharkus, on 4 November 2017, at the Wesley Inn in Lake Geneva.
Lake Geneva Police Det Joseph Ecklund (who abruptly retired from law enforcement in Aug 2020 at the young age of 38), Lake Geneva City Attorney Dan Draper and Walworth County District Attorney Zeke Wiedenfeld all conspired to cover it up and I have the evidence to prove it.
This is Sam's unbelievable & heartbreaking story and my quest for justice and accountability in Walworth County.
In his own angry words, hear Jon Bruno Sharkus confess:
"I know what the f*ck happened that night! I'm the only one there!
I'm the ONLY one that KNOWS THE TRUTH of what the f*ck happened!!!"
In this epic Freudian Slip, Jon confesses he lied to Lead Detective Joe Ecklund when he met with him at the Lake Geneva Police Department to give a statement on March 20, 2018. Jon describes shoving his entire fist down Sam's "f*cking" throat far enough to feel where her esophagus and trachea split off!

Detective Ecklund tried his best to keep me in the dark on the status of Sam's "investigation". In fact, I have him on tape instructing her murderer to not post anything about it online so "What's-Her-Name" (aka Me, Sam's Mom) doesn't "stir up a hornet's nest". When I accidentally found out two years later, I began my own investigation by reaching out to independent experts and building a team of confidential informants.
What I discovered was horrifying.

where 2min 41sec in Jon clearly says "I don't know why I didn't call 911 right away..." and at 2min 58sec says
"I didn't even think of calling 911 until I banged on Ray's window..."

This picture was taken the morning after Sam was declared brain dead. Her body was kept on life support to preserve her organs for donation.

POLICE REPORT
# 17-16250
This is Lake Geveva Police Report #17-16250 - the official report of Sam's death
"investigation". Ecklund omits any evidence that doesn't support a finding of suicide. He didn't even bother to check her cellphone until over two months later.
Medical Examiner's Investigative Report
This is the Walworth County Medical Examiner's Investigative Report. There are many discrepancies in this report such as the actual time of the 911 call and the fact Jon never told Ecklund he was in his car for 10-20 minutes.
Sam's
Autopsy
This is the Walworth County Medical Examiner's Autopsy on Sam. The autopsy was performed six days after she was murdered, plenty of time for injuries to fade or heal completely. No mention of two ligature marks for some reason.
Toxicology
Report
This is Sam's toxicology report which speaks for itself. According to my informants, Jon admitted he started giving our children cocaine when they were in grade school, back when Detective Ecklund was the School Resource Officer.
